As I stand outside of my dorm room in the small hallway, I can here to girls across the hall talking about the happenings of past nights.
Jessica: Ashley you know you should take it easy with the parting. You’ve been going out a bunch this week. And you have those early morning classes that don’t help.
Ashley: Yea, I know but its so much fun. Like back home, the parties were nothing like the ones here. And I don’t have my mom breathing down my neck about what I’m supposed to do.
Jessica: Yea in your case, I can understand. Your mom is kinda overprotected about what you do. She like calls 100 times every! Hahaha
Ashley: I told you!!! hahaha She’s crazy. But I know she means well….. but I’m like really mom.. I just talked to you like five minutes ago, nothings changed.
Jessica: Just don’t let it get out of control and just know your limits cause I don’t want to see you like last Friday again. Hahaha you were a mess!
Ashley: Okay, okay Friday was a onetime thing. It’s those stupid drinking games that get me. I’m just not good at them. So I need some practice.
Jessica: Really Ash??? Uhh.. no you don’t those games will mess you up quick.
Ashley: All right fine… your right my mom can see my grades online you know and like she is pissed about my last math quiz that I totally bombed.
Jessica: Yea you can’t let your grades slip cause you’ve got Bright Futures remember.
Ashley: Oh my God!!!! That reminds me. I totally forgot about that paper that is due Wednesday.. ughhh I hate school.
Jessica: Just stay on top of things for a while to get everything organized again.
I couldn't help but laugh about the conversation, the parties here are way funner than those i had at home too. This really shows great dialogue and a good example to follow if you are making a story or using dialogue in your paper. Dialogue is important in writing because it can show something much clearer than just writing it in the middle of the paragraph, I really like this but i found it extremely creepy that we had to eavesdrop. I didn't like doing it, even though it shows dialogue, there was probably a better way.
